Assessing writing folders

I haven't asked or noticed how often their writing notebook gets graded.. or how the whole assessment thing works for it... but

The students can use it as a diary in the sense they can keep it private or they can make certain writing pieces public. If they want you to read a piece of writing they fold the first page of the paper in half.


I have to decide if this would be a weekly thing... or if I would make this part of writing workshop.... etc.

Quick Reflections

* Check-in (in front of your chest give me a thumbs up or thumbs down)

Now, who did what?

I saw one of the intermediate teachers using this to check off who has done what. I thought this was a great way to keep straight those types of things.

She has access to them easily
